Ricardo Nyawose

Ricardo Nyawose is a Durban based singer song-writer and performer whose emergence into the South African music industry has not gone unnoticed.

His debut single titled ‘Seen a Miracle’ was released on the 13th of February 2024, as a declaration of his love.

The release showcases Ricardo’s radiant & signature vocal capabilities, while the acoustic driven melody mesmerises the listener into pining for their beloved. Berghout is not only Nyawose’s muse, but a  musician in her own right, her keys arrangement and effortless accompanying harmonies can be heard in the ballad.

Ricardo who was signed to a small rap label at the age of 17, later took a hiatus to slowly craft his unique sound. During this time he also delved into the deep house scene, working on a track with Ceega wa Morapa. He has since shared stages with the likes of Jesse Clegg and Rubber Duc.

The versatility in Ricardo as a performer is evident in his on-stage energy that is experienced in his soulful or upbeat live music sets as a solo artist or with the company of his world-class band, both which are done with full excellence and finesse.
